WEEKLY FAVORITES IS BACK! Charlotte's Edition!
WEEKLY FAVORITES IS BACK YOU GUYS!!! But I’m doing something different this year and instead of just throwing in a bunch of movies I watched, it’ll be favorite things in general. Whether it’s news, trailers, movies I watched, books, or clothes. WHATEVER!
Stranger Things season three is coming this summer! We’ve got a poster and a date. It will be hitting Netflix on July 4th. Season three will be set across one summer in 1985. Who knows what they’ll take influence from but ‘85 was a great year for movies. The Breakfast Club, The Goonies, Back to the Future, Weird Science, Teen Wolf, Return to Oz, Nightmare on Elm Street 2, and so much more! 1985 was also the year Stephen King published Skeleton Crew.
Stranger Things is always great at advertising and marketing, so I’m sure we’ll see a tone of great content leading up to July.
Speaking of Stephen King (which I usually am), my friend was kind enough to let me into her laundry room. Why, you ask? Because that freakin’ laundry room has a massive pile of books that people have left there. And no one was taking advantage of it! So, I dug through and found some great finds. I got some Dean Koontz books and Michael Crichton but most importantly I found some french editions of Stephen King!
Granted, I cannot speak French. BUT - it’s a really fun addition to my collection.
Also, this is going to sound real dumb of me - but why does Gerald’s Game translate to Jessie. Because I just keep singing Jessie’s Girl.
Speaking of Stephen King….oh wait….I still am! This sweetheart of a man celebrated his 48th wedding anniversary this week to the incredible Tabitha King. My heart has melted, my pores have cleared, my crops have flourished. I love my King parents so much you guys.
I am a huge fan of Cavity Colors - you guys have seen my previous purchases on Mail Bag here at Horror Bound. This week they released a Carrie collection that just blew my freakin’ mind! The artwork is done by Devon Whitehead, Steven Rhodes, and Hillary White. Part one has been released and hopefully we get part two soon or I might die of antici……….pation.
Also I just realized this is technically more Stephen King news….
That’s on me. That’s my bad.
I genuinely couldn’t decide which one to pick so I’m going to wait until part two of the collection drops and then I’ll just buy everything………...
Now to something not Stephen King related! Hooray, I did it!
Stephanie Pepper - an incredible artist I just noticed online. She does beautiful and eerie drawings. She takes inspiration from all sorts of pop culture and does a variety of different illustrations. I love her creepier ones but she also does some Marvel inspired art, some TV show inspired art, and much more. Go follow her on instagram so your feed is filled with lovely images and less cat memes.
Lastly, my favorite thing of the week is this strange t-shirt I found in Value Village. It is mine now and I shall cherish it forever. Why would ANYONE give this thing up?!
