The Milk Boy: A Prelude to The Whool
Scott Donnelly kindly provided me with a copy of this short story after I finished The Whool. I was happy to have additional information on what The Whool really was and how it came to be. I am looking forward to the sequel to The Whool, which I imagine will tie everything together in a package.
As always, I enjoyed Scott Donnelly's descriptive writing. I was disturbed by Doyle, The Milk Boy's experience with the damned and how he stalked his own town with sour milk in hand and evil intentions in his heart. I will be interested to see why the five damned chose him, where they came from themselves, and what the details behind the marble truly are.
A lovely, quick little tale to whet your appetite before you read The Whool and follow it with the sequel that Scott Donnelly is currently working on.
