Bad Parts - What Would You do?
What a wild ride this was! What would you do if someone you knew needed a body part (kidneys, eyes, or hand), but someone else had to lose theirs?
Ashlee, our main character, is an amazing heavy metal guitarist and is such a bad ass in the epic "battle of the bands" at the beginning. After their show her and a bandmate encounter a strange twitching man who they think is stealing their equipment. This man ends up beating the crap out of her bandmate and knocking him out. leaving Ashlee with her hand smashed in a million pieces by her own guitar... BRUTAL!
Except! Ashlee knows a secret that only a few people in her hometown know. Ash has to make a trade with the local demon they call "Snare." This demon takes damaged body parts and exchanges them for brand new ones. The catch is they are unable to leave the small town or their new parts will disappear.
Ash ends up making a deal with the Snare for her to collect certain body parts from Snare's list by a certain time in order for everyone with traded parts to be able to leave town. This sounds like a great deal to Ash because she can not stay in this dinky little town if she is going to be a huge rock star!
There are so many twists and turns that I was chewing off my fingernails while reading. Best of all was all of the blood and gorey details. This author got my horror heart pumping. I am definitely going to look into more books by Brandon McNulty. If you want a jaw dropping horror thriller, grab this book.
