31 Horror Movies 31 Days - First Week
WEEK ONE IS DONE AND DUSTED!
That’s right, I’m participating in the 31 Days, 31 Horror Movies Challenge for the fourth year in a row. Or maybe fifth. I’m basically 30 so excuse my poor memory.
The concept is very simple - every day of October you watch one horror movie. I didn’t really set anything up this year as a guide to follow. Mainly because every year, without fail, I completely disregard the guide. So, there’s no rhyme or reason to my movie choices except I wanted to watch them. I’m also trying to get through my Netflix List and watch a lot of movies I haven’t seen before.
This year I’m also doing something a little different and wearing 31 horror shirts as well. I have a shit tone and I thought it would be fun to showcase them. Apologies in advance for showing my face a lot which I don’t usually do on this site.
Day 1 - Jason Voorhees
Day 2 - Negan from The Walking Dead (feat. my Lucille that I made for Halloween two years ago and still keep under my desk at work. Just in case.)
Day 3 - Pennywise
Day 4 - Jaws
Day 5 - Hitchcock
Day 6 - Stab aka the fake Scream movie within the Scream universe
Day 7 - Leatherface
Day 1 - Goosebumps (2015) 5/5
Day 2 - Winchester (2018) 1.5/5
Day 3 - Leatherface (2017) 2/5
Day 4 - Temple (2017) 1/5
Day 5 - Malevolent (2018) 5/5
Day 6 - Salem’s Lot (1979) 4/5
Day 7 - Open Water 3: Cage Dive (2017) 3/5
It’s been a rough week. I love A LOT of movies. I do not consider myself a tough critic. If I had fun and stayed curious throughout the movie, then to me that’s 5 stars. But the only movies I enjoyed this week were Malevolent, Salem’s Lot and Goosebumps.
That sucks.
I won’t talk shit about the movies I didn’t like, because that’s not what we’re about here at Horror Bound. I will talk about the one I loved the most - Malevolent in a full review post coming early next week.
Not sure what next week will hold but I hope it’s a lot more entertaining!
